Who we are
Bayview Strategies Inc. is a government relations and public affairs firm based in Toronto. This notice covers the website at bayviewstrategies.ca. Questions about your information go to inbox@bayviewstrategies.ca.
What we collect
Two things. What you send us — when you book a scoping call or sign up for the field note, we receive your name, email, organisation, and whatever you write. The newsletter only needs your email. How the site is used — the privacy-respecting analytics below, plus standard server logs (IP address, browser) kept briefly for security and to deliver the site.
Analytics & cookies
We use two tools to see what’s useful and what’s broken, and nothing more invasive. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and page performance with no cookies and no cross-site tracking. Microsoft Clarity shows aggregate usage and occasional anonymised session playback so we can spot where the site trips people up — it masks text and form inputs by default and sets a cookie to recognise a single session. Block cookies in your browser and the site still works.
How we use it
To reply to you, send the field note if you asked for it, keep the site secure and working, and understand what to improve. That’s the whole list — we don’t profile you and we don’t make automated decisions about you.
Who else sees it
We don’t sell or rent your information. It’s shared only with the services that run the site on our behalf — Cloudflare (hosting, transactional email for form notifications, cookieless analytics), Microsoft Clarity (session analytics), beehiiv (Field Notes subscriber list), and Resend (sending Field Notes when a new post publishes) — each under its own privacy terms.
How long we keep it
Contact and subscribe form records in our edge store auto-expire after two years. Newsletter suppression (unsubscribe) is kept until you re-subscribe. You can also email us any time to ask for deletion sooner.
Your choices
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email inbox@bayviewstrategies.ca and we’ll take care of it.

If this notice changes we’ll update this page and the date below; anything material gets a clearer heads-up.
